Spread Blaster: Close-Range Barrage & Spread Upgrade
Read Spread Blaster’s close-combat role, semi-auto firing, charged barrage and projectile-count upgrade, with pickup and organism records in context.
FAQ
What does charging Spread Blaster do?
What do the game files confirm?
The inventory description links broad fire with close combat. The charged action is a barrage, so it should be examined separately from a single normal input rather than assumed to behave like Alpha’s charged blast.
SBSpread names two changes together: projectile count and spread. More projectiles and a broader pattern are different properties; a larger pattern does not, by itself, establish higher damage to one small weak point.
| Mechanic | Documented behavior |
|---|---|
| Role | Broad fire for close combat |
| Normal fire | Semi-automatic |
| Charged fire | Emerald Plasma barrage |
| Upgrade | Projectile count and spread |
Which upgrade directions are listed?
- Increase the projectile count and spread
Menu directions name what changes, not numeric ranks, prices or a tested optimal order.
How can you apply these clues?
-
Observe the pattern at more than one safe distance. Record where projectiles land rather than treating the close-combat description as a fixed number of meters.
-
Against a small visible weak point, check actual overlap before choosing a broad pattern. Coverage and concentration are different goals.
-
The sac, organism and pickup entries describe an organic container, a broad-firing weapon and fusion into the arsenal. Keep them as connected forms rather than three separate weapons.
How does it compare with related mechanics?
Alpha is the general semi-auto comparison. Plasmawave reaches multiple nearby targets through a splitting stream, which is a different mechanism from Spread’s firing pattern.
Acquisition and verification limits
The pickup message confirms the named weapon’s fusion into the arsenal, not a verified room or a route available in this Demo. Projectile totals and per-projectile damage remain unmeasured.
The expandable records below preserve the original game wording and source keys. A bundled record is not proof that the item or encounter is available in the Demo.
