Alpha Blaster: Semi-Auto Fire, Charging & Upgrades
Alpha Blaster mechanics from the game files: semi-auto firing, charged Emerald Plasma, projectile speed and separate charged and normal damage upgrades.
FAQ
Which Alpha upgrades are separate?
What do the game files confirm?
Alpha’s inventory text explicitly combines Semi-Auto Firing with a Charged Blast. Treat a normal shot and a charged release as distinct actions when reading the menu: the upgrade descriptions name their damage separately.
The short-to-long-range description is qualitative. It supports using Alpha as a reference for general aiming practice, but it is not a measured effective-range curve or proof of equal damage at every distance.
| Mechanic | Documented behavior |
|---|---|
| Firing mode | Semi-automatic |
| Charged action | Emerald Plasma blast |
| Speed direction | Projectile speed |
| Damage directions | Charged projectile and projectile damage |
Which upgrade directions are listed?
- Increase the projectile speed
- Increase the charged projectile damage
- Increase the projectile damage
Menu directions name what changes, not numeric ranks, prices or a tested optimal order.
How can you apply these clues?
-
Compare a normal shot and a charged release against the same available target before attributing a change to an upgrade. Keep the active weapon and target conditions consistent.
-
When reading the evolution menu, match ABSpeed, ABCharge and ABDamage to speed, charged damage and projectile damage respectively. A familiar icon does not make the three descriptions interchangeable.
-
For a boss attempt, choose a reachable weak point first. Alpha’s general-purpose wording does not override a scan that describes an impenetrable exterior.
How does it compare with related mechanics?
Spread also uses semi-auto fire but emphasizes close combat and a charged barrage. Gatling instead accelerates during automatic firing. Those are behavioral differences, not a damage ranking.
Acquisition and verification limits
No exact charge time, projectile speed, upgrade cost or damage multiplier is supplied by these descriptions. The tool identity in the Biokinetic scan is documented separately.
The expandable records below preserve the original game wording and source keys. A bundled record is not proof that the item or encounter is available in the Demo.
