Spire Blaster: Wall Penetration, Spike Flurry & Upgrades
Spire Blaster fires an extending spike through walls and obstacles. Compare its charged flurry, spike speed, length and damage with armor-related limits.
FAQ
Does Spire’s wall penetration prove it bypasses boss armor?
What do the game files confirm?
Spire’s ordinary action is one extending spike; its charged action is a flurry. These are the two behaviors actually named by the inventory description. The pickup entry independently calls it a Wall-Piercing Blaster.
The menu distinguishes speed, length and damage. The Chinese SBSpeed wording specifically describes spike-generation speed; it should not be casually rewritten as player movement speed.
| Mechanic | Documented behavior |
|---|---|
| Normal shot | Single extending spike |
| Penetration | Walls or obstacles, as described in the inventory |
| Charged release | Flurry of spikes |
| Upgrade directions | Speed, length and damage |
Which upgrade directions are listed?
- Increase the spire speed
- Increase the spire length
- Increase the spire damage
Menu directions name what changes, not numeric ranks, prices or a tested optimal order.
How can you apply these clues?
-
Use a familiar obstacle to observe the described penetration before relying on it in a dangerous encounter. Distinguish projectile passage from opening or destroying the obstacle.
-
Compare a normal spike and a charged release from the same position. The entry does not give a spike count or a charge-time breakpoint.
-
Read a boss’s own weak-point scan separately. A wall-penetration label does not replace an encounter-specific requirement to reach soft tissue.
How does it compare with related mechanics?
Ulgoro has a scan describing an impenetrable radioactive hide and soft tissue deep within its maw. That record is a reason to investigate the intended weak point, not to assume Spire ignores the hide. Protocannon is separately described as armor-piercing.
Acquisition and verification limits
No wall thickness, hit frequency, spike count, damage multiplier or pickup coordinate is established by these records. “Wall-piercing” and “armor-piercing” remain distinct terms.
The expandable records below preserve the original game wording and source keys. A bundled record is not proof that the item or encounter is available in the Demo.
