Plasmawave Blaster: Chaining Targets, Heat & Wave Upgrades
Understand Plasmawave’s splitting stream, nearby-target damage and overheating warning, plus distinct wave-length, secondary-wave and damage upgrades.
FAQ
When does Plasmawave split toward other targets?
What do the game files confirm?
The splitting happens upon contact according to the inventory text. A visible first target and nearby additional targets are relevant to observing the chain; simply firing into empty space is not the same test.
PWBLength, PWBWaves and PWBDamage describe separate directions. Wave length should not be silently converted into an exact chain radius, and secondary-wave count is not the same as a guaranteed number of enemies hit.
| Mechanic | Documented behavior |
|---|---|
| Primary behavior | Emerald Plasma stream |
| Contact effect | Splits toward multiple nearby targets |
| Sustained-fire note | Plasma reserves may overheat |
| Upgrades | Length, secondary waves and damage |
Which upgrade directions are listed?
- Increase the wave length
- Increase the secondary waves on hit
- Increase the wave damage
Menu directions name what changes, not numeric ranks, prices or a tested optimal order.
How can you apply these clues?
-
Observe the difference between an isolated target and a cluster in a familiar area. Record actual secondary contacts rather than assuming a fixed chain count.
-
Keep an eye on sustained-fire feedback. As with Gatling, the warning does not supply a safe firing duration or a cooling interval.
-
When testing an upgrade, change one wave property at a time where possible. Otherwise a longer visible effect can be mistaken for a damage increase.
How does it compare with related mechanics?
Gatling combines automatic acceleration with an overheating warning. Spread covers space through a broad firing pattern; Plasmawave instead needs contact for its described split. Read the comparison guide before choosing an encounter test.
Acquisition and verification limits
Exact chain radius, target limits, cooling behavior and per-wave damage remain unmeasured. The pickup record names the chaining mutation but does not provide a confirmed Demo location.
The expandable records below preserve the original game wording and source keys. A bundled record is not proof that the item or encounter is available in the Demo.
