Does Demo progress carry over?

Yes, according to Gloomsoft’s October 21, 2026 announcement for the updated Demo. The same announcement discusses locally saved Demo achievements becoming available on the Steam account after the full game is purchased and launched. This is a developer-confirmed feature; transfer on this particular computer has not been tested here.

Why do older discussions say saves are incompatible?

The April 28, 2025 Demo 1.1.0 notes describe a data change that made previous-version saves incompatible. That historical warning and the later transfer feature refer to different updates. Neither should be generalized to every build.

Keep the release date of a guide in mind, especially if it uses the older name for Heal Lifeblood or describes a different controller aiming system.

What is a sensible transfer checklist?

1. Update the Demo and the full game through Steam.
2. Rest normally before ending your Demo session; read the chamber guide for its save behavior.
3. Keep your existing saves. Do not delete or overwrite them as a first troubleshooting step.
4. Launch the full game and check the available continuation options.
5. If progress is missing, record both build versions and ask the developer through Steam support discussions.
