Moadra Version Changes: Which Old Advice Still Applies?
A player-focused timeline of Demo 1.0.1, 1.1.0 and the October 2026 updates, explaining changes to healing, aiming, scans, saves and old gameplay footage.
FAQ
Why does an old guide say healing uses Bioplasm?
Does the older save-incompatibility warning contradict Demo transfer?
Which update matters to the advice you are reading?
| Date / release | Player-facing change | Advice to revisit |
|---|---|---|
| February 21, 2025 — Demo 1.0.1 | Boss-area access, enemy pacing, costs and map changes. | Old routes around the Blight Beast and early skill-cost claims. |
| April 28, 2025 — Demo 1.1.0 | Healing, aiming, movement, scans and save compatibility. | Early controller charts, healing instructions and old-save assumptions. |
| October 21, 2026 — updated Demo | Rebinding, scan logbook and full-game progress transfer. | Claims that the Demo lacks those features. |
| October 22, 2026 — full-game launch | Gloomsoft announced availability. | Do not use the calendar date as a verified numeric build identifier. |
What changed near the Blight Beast in 1.0.1?
The February patch adjusted the encounter and removed a nearby Armored Barrier to allow access to a save point. It also reduced Stinger Fly and Blightwing attack speeds and changed skill costs. Continuing a 1.0.0 save could show incorrect map icons in modified levels.
For a player, the useful consequence is specific: a video showing that barrier is not reliable proof of your present approach route. Use Alvus preparation with your current map. “Adjusted difficulty” does not provide a measured HP change.
Why does Demo 1.1.0 change how old guides should be read?
The April announcement moved healing away from Bioplasm and into chamber-recharged Heal Lifeblood. It revised controller aiming and targeting, movement response and scanning. The same update warned that earlier saves were incompatible.
If advice tells you to reserve Bioplasm specifically for healing, compare it with the healing reference. If aiming or a jump feels different, check current bindings and movement instructions. These are version checks, not a reason to overwrite a save.
What did the October Demo update confirm?
The October 21 announcement lists localization, rebinding, a scan logbook and progress carrying into the full game. It also explains local Demo achievement storage and later Steam unlocking after purchase and launch.
Read the transfer checklist before switching editions. The October 22 launch announcement confirms release; it does not certify every piece of older Demo advice as current full-game behavior.
What should a useful bug or guidance report include?
Record the edition, the version or build identifier you can actually find, the action attempted and the visible result. Add the date of the guide you followed and whether a custom binding was used. Preserve saves while investigating and use official Steam discussions for developer-facing reports.
This is a curated history checked on October 23, 2026, not a complete patch archive or an assertion that no later hotfix exists. The source audit separately describes which installed files support this site’s reference articles.
