Protosin: Blight Eyes, Repulsion Field & Heart Opening
Protosin’s scan links retinal repulsion emitters, attacks on Blight Eye soft tissue and a temporary Heart opening. Read the actual sequence and its limits.
FAQ
What is the documented eye-to-heart clue?
What do the game files confirm?
The record identifies Protosin as thousands of Protean fused together by the Blight. Its combat-relevant detail is the retinal repulsion-field emitter, followed by the instruction-like statement about concentrating attacks on soft eye tissue.
The wording says those attacks could temporarily weaken the creature and provide an opening for its Heart. Preserve both qualifications: could is not a guaranteed trigger after an unspecified hit, and temporarily does not supply a duration.
| Mechanic | Documented behavior |
|---|---|
| Defense clue | Repulsion-field emitters in retinal tissue |
| First target | Soft tissue of Blight Eyes |
| Stated opportunity | Temporary weakening, then a Heart opening |
| Unspecified | Eye count, threshold and opening duration |
How can you apply these clues?
-
Identify the visible eye tissue and record which target you are attacking. Do not assume every luminous feature is one of the scan’s Blight Eyes.
-
After a controlled concentration of attacks, watch for a change that makes the Heart accessible. Record the cue before proposing a repeatable phase rule.
-
Keep weapon form, upgrade rank and target consistent when measuring a possible trigger. Combining different targets and weapons would obscure whether the observed opening matches the source clue.
How does it compare with related mechanics?
Alpha has separate normal and charged damage directions, while Plasmawave can split between nearby targets. Choose controlled tests that let you tell where attacks land; neither description proves a preferred Protosin build. Ulgoro has a different internal-tissue clue without this explicit eye-to-heart statement.
Acquisition and verification limits
The scan does not establish the full fight order, a number of eyes to destroy, Heart HP, vulnerability duration or a completion reward. No current-build clear is claimed.
The expandable records below preserve the original game wording and source keys. A bundled record is not proof that the item or encounter is available in the Demo.

Protosin, the Heralds of BlightProtosin
Xenology: a massive amalgamation of thousands of Protean irrevocably fused together by the Blight. Immense levels of radiation: Repulsion field emitters detected in the retinal tissue. Concentrated attacks aimed at the soft tissue of its Blight Eyes could temporarily weaken it, providing an opening for striking at its Heart.
